If someone wanted to find out why soccer is so popular overseas, one would just have to be by the field on Kelvin Smith Library this Saturday to understand the true emotion of soccer. Both teams envolved in the play were mainly from international students from Weatherhead, although this reporter could not find exactly what countries were represented.

The score was 4-2 at full time, although this did not reflect in events in the field, showing how unpredictable and emotional soccer can be. Both teams were commited to the game and played in great style. Both side also had small support groups which added emotion to the overall set.

The team that called themselves "Blitzkriege" (a team that will easily be recognised in the future by their coulourful orange shirts and white names printed on them) dominated most of the match, playing a very consistent first and second half. Two very fortunate plays from the other team eventually dictated the tie - conditions at Freiberger field where somewhat degradated due to the state of the terrain and a 10 minute rain just before the game began.

"Blitzkriege" was the simbol of sportmanship, excelent play, dedication and fair play. Although the score changed dramatically in the last 5 minutes, the team always played with a high heart and spirit, teaching a lesson to the world on how the sport should be played. At the end, even with some low spirit due to the loss, members maintained the composure (unlike some other teams and sports where team members do not simply how to loose).

Finally, this reporter also captured the rumoure that coaches at the Spartans were considering to contact the team in order to improve the already excelent women's soccer team of Case.
